IMPORTANT NOTE: Orders cannot be cancelled or changed once confirmed as processed by our system. We cannot guarantee that email requests for cancellations will be processed.

Shipping
UPS Ground is Handmade at Homestead's carrier of choice. Since UPS will not deliver to PO Boxes, please always provide an accurate street address so that your order is not delayed.

Handmade at Homestead does not accept responsibility for products that are melted or frozen after they leave our facility.  Handmade at Homestead reserves the right to refuse shipping products vulnerable to temperature extremes during certain times of the year.

Shipping Times

All of our products are individually handcrafted and packaged to maintain our high standards of  the quality.  As such, each order can take up to 72 hours to complete and will be shipped on the next shipping day. We ship Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Longer processing and shipping times are possible during sales and holidays.

Return Policy
All sales are final. We want you to be happy, so please ask any questions before ordering to insure your satisfaction. Due to the nature of our products, no returns, exchanges, or store credits are accepted.

Damages and Shortages
If your package was damaged in transit you must notify us within 2 business days so we can make a claim with the carrier. Do not discard the damaged packaging in the event the carrier would like to inspect the box and contents. You must follow shipper’s guidelines for reporting suspected damage or we will not be able to honor reimbursement or replacement of damaged goods. Please email us if your order arrives incomplete or if you received an incorrect item.

Incorrect Addresses, Non-Deliverable, or Refused Shipments
Please make certain that the shipping address you provide is correct. If a customer makes an address error, the customer is responsible for additional delivery charges. If we make an error, then we will absorb the additional fees. Carrier will charge $10.00 for even the smallest address corrections. We will in turn pass this charge to you. Packages returned to us marked ‘Refused’, ‘Unclaimed’, or ‘Invalid Address’ will be credited back to the customers credit card, less a 15% restocking fee, and all shipping costs.

Shipping Policies / Terms and Conditions of Service
As stated,
UPS is the carrier of choice for Handmade at Homestead
.  As such, we are bound by the terms and conditions of their service. We would like to bring your attention to the following specific terms of this service:

Special Instructions for Delivery
UPS cannot accommodate special instructions for delivery such as leaving at the side-door or leaving with the concierge.  Handmade at Homestead cannot be responsible for providing UPS
with special instructions for delivery that are entered by the customers in the comment field of orders.

Deliveries Attempted Three Times without Extra Charge
UPS attempts to deliver a package three times. If on the 3rd attempt, delivery is unsuccessful, UPS will send a postcard via U.S.P.S. to the receiver notifying them of the package and the attempted deliveries.

Special Handling of Undeliverable Packages
International shipments refused by the consignees, or which for any other reason cannot be delivered, will be held, and
UPS will attempt to contact the shipper for further instructions. The shipper will be responsible for payment of all charges, including, but not limited to, forwarding, disposal, or return transportation charges, as well as any duty and tax, if applicable.

In addition, keep in mind that
UPS does not reimburse us for frozen or melted product or any damaged liquid product. If you live in an area prone to estreme temperatures, you should ensure that there is someone at your shipping address to accept the package. Handmade at Homestead does not accept responsibility for products that are melted or frozen after they leave our facility.  Handmade at Homestead reserves the right to refuse shipping products vulnerable to temperature extremes during certain times of the year.

Delivery Charge
There will be a $5.00 delivery charge for all orders delivered to customer.  If customer is picking up the order from a retail location, the $5.00 delivery charge will be reimbursed upon customer's pickup of order.
